I've been playing a few of the freerolls at Tropical Poker recently - (just so that I can bring you the lowdown on
the site!). OK here's what I've found. It's quite a good site to play on
if you like regular freerolls with a low number of
players (200 max but not all tournaments are full) and
don't mind playing for lower prize money ($25). It's a risk-reward
decision that you need to take, do you risk a lot of your time in a
freeroll with 2000, 5000 or even 12000 players for the chance of a share
of $1000, or do you play a lot of smaller freerolls at Tropical Poker
with a lot less competition and a much better chance of winning - but
with lower prize money.
It's a decision that only you can make.
You
can time it so that you are playing poker freerolls at
Tropical Poker almost constantly through the day as there is a
new game starting every two hours.
Here's
a tip for signing up for the Tropical Poker freerolls. I tried signing
up from the main lobby using the Register button but I kept getting an
error saying I didn't have sufficient funds to play the freeroll. But if
you click on the Open Lobby button for the tournament, you can sign up
there instead. It seems to just be a blip in their software but it's
maybe a reason why the freerolls don't always fill up.
