Layne Flack
Layne Flack is a man to be dealt with. You can find him quite often at the final tables, often winning big. Layne was born in South Dakota, but grew up in Montana. He learned to play poker with his grandparents. If you ask him, Layne will tell you that he did not have the intentions of playing professional poker. Instead, he wanted to be a dealer. In fact, he was even a night manager at a casino until he just was spending too much time playing instead of dealing! His skill is great and many times he seems unbeatable. That is when he’s playing at his best. He is a well versed player. He can read others well and has a strategy for just about any game.
Some of his great accomplishments in the world of poker are his FIVE World Series of Poker bracelets. He got his first in May of 1999 at $3000 Hold’em Pot Limit. The second was in May of 2002, at $2000 Limit Hold’em. The third was a mere month later at $1500 No Limit Hold’em. In May of 2003, he earned the nickname Back To Back Flack when he won $2500 Omaha Hi-Lo Split and the $1500 Limit Hold’em Shootout. Don’t look for Layne to be going anywhere. He is well known for his appearances on the World Poker Tour. And, since he is such a young player, Layne will be around for many more years to come.
